MRS WITHERING

You've been invited to play the role of MRS WITHERING in Murder at the Manor. Lord Heathcliff is throwing a swanky dinner party in honour of his new bride. All the usual suspects are there - the vicar, the cook, the professor - plus a few unusual ones. But dinner will never be served because Lord Heathcliff is hit over the head with a candlestick just as he's taking his customary afternoon swim. You're invited to find out who snuffed out his candle!

Your costume suggestion

Your old-fashioned high-necked black dress is perfect for a woman in your position. You keep your hair neatly tied in a bun but soften the look with an antique silver locket.

About you...

BIO
Your father only ever wanted great things for you. Your mother left you both at an early age and you looked after each other. You finished your education top of the class and went on to study accounting - as your father insisted you learn a ‘trade’. But when he finally passed on, you realised how much you’d come to depend on looking after him and that even doing tax returns couldn’t satisfy you as much. Later, while working on Lord Heathcliff’s books he jokingly asked you to be his housekeeper and you accepted - for the same pay of course.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF AT THE START OF THE GAME BY READING THIS
I’m Mrs Withering and I look after this place. I’m the housekeeper which quite literally means I keep the house running. Without me this place would look like an overcooked melon in a microwave. Lord Heathcliff never really appreciated me in the way he should, but I kept slaving away for him. Not that I’m bitter, I’d actually rather he was still alive so I could give him a piece of my mind.
